A blog about my experience using coupons in Alaska to save money for my family of 6. I love using coupons and searching for great deals via the internet, papers, etc. I share the deals I find so others can save money too!

Taking a break
As if it hasn't been obvious with the lack of post but I am taking a little coupon break. I spend hours working on deals, cutting, sorting and shopping with coupons- most of the time I love doing it but not so much lately. With 4 kids home and my husband working a lot of over time (which allows for me to be a little less frugal) I have let my coupon binder get completely out of control. It is so bad that I haven't even been taking it with me when I shop because the coupons are not clipped, they are falling out of the binder and many are now expired. It was really weird and a little liberating shopping without coupons this week. I haven't done any "serious" grocery shopping in the past few weeks, which my kids will happily attest too since they think we don't have any food in the house LOL. I have a little anxiety over it and really do want to take the time to get it organized so I at least have the option of shopping with them but that isn't going to happen in the next few days. So instead I took the time to come on here and confess my lack of coupon shopping and hope that I will be forgiven my sins from my fellow coupon friends :-). I am a little excited that the kids and I will be doing some traveling and I will have a chance to pick up some coupon inserts in the lower 48- here's to hoping for some great inserts over the next few Sundays!! Perhaps then I will motivate after our return and get my binder back into working order. Until then- happy couponing, deal finding and money savings adventures for all that can. In the borrowed words of Arnold " I will be back".
