Walgreens

I just took a quick look at this weeks ad and saw the Vic's DayQuil and NyQuil 20ct or 10oz 2/$10 with a $5 RR- paired with the recent mfr 1.50 coupons (x2)= $1/item! I have a $5 rr from last weeks pop deal (3 12pks for $11 and get $5 rr) so I will use my $5 RR and only pay $2 our of pocket and still leave with another $5 RR for my next visit. And with the coughing and stuffy noses in this house I think this will be put to use .

Carr's Pop Deal

Just a reminder that 7up and A&W Rootbeer 2 L. are marked down to .99 through Monday- no coupon needed, just a Carr's card. There is a limit of 4. Probably not worth a trip just for that but a good buy if you are going anyways.

A few good deals I see in the blog world

I have several coupon/deal blogs that I check daily and here are a few of my "national" favorites (there are lots of great AK blogs too!;-)) Hip2save.com, TotallyTarget.com, and couponingtodisney.com. There are at least another dozen (or more!) that are good too but I found that I had to limit my daily viewing to just a few of the nationals and then I usually check to see if any of the AK blogger's have updated. I have a little cheat that I use to check the AK blogger's, Jessica at alaskasbestgrocerydeals.blogspot.com has a list of the AK blogger's on the right side of her screen and they show the latest post, so I can quickly look through and see if there have been any updates. Jessica is actually the reason I got into coupons. I had read an article about coupons in AK and came across her website either in the article or maybe just searching the web but I was hooked once I started following her blog and then found some other great local blogs. I realized right away with the help from the blogger's I could find some great deals, and I have not been disappointed!

That brings me to my latest idea to highlight my favorite finds on the other blogs. This seems to be pretty common practice in the coupon blog world and I didn't want to be redundant since I imagine most of the people that read my blog also read the other blogs, so I am just going to pull off the ones that I actually have printed or find to be a great deal in hopes of sharing a deal that maybe someone has missed. I love sharing and reading about real life deal/coupon finds because that is the most practical and helpful for me but sometimes I spot some pretty good finds and don't want to just assume others have seen it too.
And finally, I must admit I am a little long winded this morning...
here are the deals I have spotted this am:
Ducolax $8 coupon after filing out a form (print twice and doesn't expire until 10/25/10)- and I read that these are going on sale tomorrow for 7.99 plus there is a $2 IVC (in store coupon) at Walgreen's.

Uncle Ben's Buy 1 get 1 Free promo You have to enter BOGOWGW and you will be able to print 2 coupons.

Kraft's $5 on 5 coupon has reset and definitely a good one to have!
I will be doing more checking and posting as I find things to share! :-)

Target deals

I had a fun, fast shopping trip to Target tonight. I purchased 2 bags of Huggie's Natural diapers for $44- I used 2 $3 mfr coupons and 2 $3 Target coupons bringing the price down to $32 for a 100 size 5 diapers and got back a $5 gift card to use towards the rest of the items I was purchasing.
On the 2nd order I picked up Huggie wipes (2.29) and used a .75 Target coupon and .50 mfr coupon from the Sunday paper in Aug. I also was able to stack a $1 Target coupon and $1 mfr coupon for Tum's and they were clearanced out to $3.14 (and it came with a bonus back!). I bought the Market Pantry bread for less than a $1 with the .50 Target coupon. I also picked up a box of Kellogg's fruit snacks on markdown for 1.88 and used the $1 mfr coupon which my kids will be thrilled about because I refuse to buy them unless I get them for under $1- they just eat them way too fast! I also picked up the 4oz Glade Fall candle on markdown for $3 and used a $1 coupon from the paper and a $1 off of any fall collection Glade item from Target coupons bringing it down to $1 for a very nice smelling candle. That order came to about $8 and I was able to use the $5 gift card and bring the out of pocket down to $3! So I felt like I got some pretty good deals on items that I really needed and a few fun bonus items too. :-)
It sure feels like fall is really here and I am welcoming it. I got pretty behind on my coupons, housework etc. with entertaining 4 kids this summer and now that 3 of them are in school I can focus more on those things. Hopefully I will be able to share more deals, especially for Christmas shopping. I will confess though, I have a good share of my shopping done. I love to shop and will still be looking for deals though.
